Bronze is something humans beings have been using for thousands of years, bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, and taking it into the 21st century.

With advancement in metal purity since the Bronze Age this bronze here contains next to no impurities. More importantly, it contains no lead. No lead is ever used at Mike’s Metalworking to prevent accidental contamination.

All metal is made of crystals if you look closely enough, although this usually requires a microscope. What makes Gem Bronze so special is its ability to grow stable, non brittle grains, orders of magnitude larger than traditional bronzes.

Each Gem Bronze casting due to the laws of physics creates a cylinder with a completely unique, crystal structure like a snowflake or fingerprint no two pieces will ever be exactly alike. Again like snowflakes their composition remains constant but the expression of the crystal’s changes due to many factors in the casting process such as a difference of 50C in one section of the mold or another. 

So even though others may have Gem Bronze each piece is unique enough to produce some truly beautiful results for any casting or stock removal processes.
